Guam-  This past Sunday the dirt chomping monsoon motocross racer’s who had expected the third round of the RPM Yamaha and Cycles Plus Honda Monsoon Motocross series to be yet another rainy mud flinging event were pleasantly treated to ideal track conditions for racing. Under what many riders stated as being a perfect day for racing weather and track conditions was a range of classes that included both kids and adult motorcycle and ATV’s took part in an action packed day of racing. The gate at the Guam International Raceway opened at 9am for practice with the racing having started at about 1pm. The Monsoon Motocross was free to everyone to come out to watch with plenty of parking and had great viewing locations that allowed fans to get up close to the intense action.

Open Motorcycle

Kicking off round 3 of the series were the thundering Open Motorcycle class riders with Pacific Trucking’s own #11 Michael Limtiaco aboard a Kawasaki Kxf450 taking the lead early blasting right out of the gate and going on to dominate the class. The Pacific Trucking supported rider easily took his third overall class win in as many rounds. Taking second was Fleet services supported rider #25 Lawrence Limtiaco also aboard a Kawasaki Kxf450 with #94 Bryan Barker taking third overall after remounting from a hard crash he suffered early on in the event.

Open Atv

After the Open Motorcycle class had taken to the track it was time for the Open Atv class to battle. Team Cycles Plus rider Robert Bucek aboard the #1 Suzuki Ltr450 was taking his cue from the Open Motorcycle class winner and proceeded to launch up to the front where he went unchallenged to the round win. Bucek was followed by a pack of hard charging riders that included the high flying second place finisher #20 Jerry Joaquin aboard his J.Camacho of Today’s Realty supported Suzuki Ltr450. Taking third was yet another Suzuki mounted rider #16 Jeremiah Shelton who late in the race had gained considerable ground on the two top finishers. Fourth went to Pine Rentals own Honda mounted #5 Marcus Guerrero with team RPM Yamaha rider #2 Keara Bucek rounding out the top five.

Kids Atv

Following big bikes and atv classes were the kids atv classes which put on a spectacular race. Seasoned kids atv veteran #9 Ramon Torres was urged out of seclusion with a Haul Pro supported Apex90 to race with in which he eagerly and confidently took to and dominated the class with. Torres and his Haul Pro Apex90 seemed to be in a class all to it’s own as he nearly lapped the entire field of the Kids Atv Open class. Taking second in the Kids Atv Open class was #6 Stoney Bucek aboard a DRX70 with rookie #99 Victoria Clark aboard her team Dream catcher’s Apex70 taking third. With her strong consistent finishes Victoria Clark has moved her team Dream Catchers Apex70 to the top of the Monsoon Motocross series standings after three of the seven rounds completed. Taking fourth for the round was #3 Bernabe Guerrero aboard his Pine Rental supported DRX90.
