    Hafa Adai All—On August 2nd, Saipan suffered a direct hit from Typhoon Soudelor. The Typhoon devastated our brothers and sisters from Saipan. The typhoon knocked out the Islands Power Plant, leaving 48,000 residents without power, water and wastewater. Recently, CNMI Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan received notice from the Federal Emergency Management Agency that President Obama signed a major disaster declaration for the Northern Mariana Islands.

    Saipan IP&E Shell Station Location Fueling Update

    SAIPAN, CNMI (August 6, 2015) – In this current state of emergency, IP&E’s Shell Stations are working with Saipan Government Officials to safely open Shell locations for fueling to the Island. To ensure that fuel is available for all government emergency recovery vehicles and first responders, Shell Station operators will be limiting fuel sales to fifty dollars per fuel transaction.

    Guam Lions Donate to Saipan Relief

    Lions Clubs International (LCI) District 204 Region 1 from Guam will be donating $3,000 initially to purchase various emergency supplies for the citizens of Saipan that were recently devastated by Typhoon Soudelor. These items will be distributed to the residents through the LCI District 204 Region 2 Lions Clubs in Saipan.
