Guam -GTA TeleGuam has donated more than 2,600 pounds of canned goods to the Salvation Army to give to needy families throughout the island in the coming months.

The canned goods were collected during the Holiday Season at various GTA Locations around Guam.  GTA Executive Vice President of People Marie Mesa says GTA has carried out the tradition for several years because helping the community is something GTA values.

Last year GTA collected 1,847 pounds of canned food for the Salvation Army.  This year customers we offered an incentive.

“We offered to waive thier activation fee for a donation,” Mesa said.  “They took good advantage of it.”
