San Jose Mart's video surveillance showed two males entering the store with hoodies, one armed with a machete and the other brandishing what appears to be a handgun.

The Guam Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying two people who robbed the San Jose Mart in Maite early Sunday morning.

According to GPD spokesman Paul Tapao, on Sunday June 23, at around 4:45 am, two men entered the establishment, one armed with a machete with the other armed with a handgun.

The video surveillance captured the man armed with machete throwing an employee to the ground and forcing the same employee to open a register.

The armed suspects then fled with an undetermined amount of cash as they were seen running towards Shop-4-Less.

The suspects are described as possibly local. The suspect armed with the machete was seen wearing a light gray hooded sweater, brown shorts and slippers. The male suspect armed with the handgun was seen wearing a red hooded sweater, gray pants and white shoes.

No injuries were reported to authorities during the robbery.

The Guam Police Department is reaching out to the community for assistance and asks that anyone with information about this case call GPD dispatchers at 472-8911 or 475-8615/6/7.
