Santa Barbara Catholic School reported late Saturday that one student has tested positive for COVID-19. The total number of Catholic school students testing positive for the virus is now 30.

Santa Barbara is working diligently with the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) and the Archdiocese of Agaña’s COVID-19 Liaison on contact tracing and testing for those with possible exposure.

Principal, Sister Maria Rosario Gaite, RSM has communicated with parents/guardians of the affected students and is keeping the entire school community updated on the matter. This is Santa Barbara’s only positive case.

Archbishop Michael Byrnes and Sister Maria Rosario ask prayers for the affected individuals and their families as well as all who have contracted the virus here and worldwide.
