The Santo Nino Guam 2000 Group celebrated its 22nd Anniversary Celebration of the Santo Nino Festival on Sunday, January 10.

The celebration began with a Church Mass celebration at 3:00 pm at the Santa Barbara Catholic Church in Dededo.

A procession followed immediately after the Church Mass.

A temporary one-lane closure occurred from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm for a procession on West Santa Barbara Avenue, to Loreta Street, to West San Antonio Avenue, then to Salisbury Street, and back to West Santa Barbara Avenue.

The procession ended at Santa Barbara Catholic Church.

The Dededo Mayors Office and Guam Police Department were on-site to direct traffic.

The Santo Nino 2000 organization is a non-profit organization. The event is an annual event that occurs every 2nd Sunday in January and attracts a large audience who are familiar with the celebration.

For the event this year, the organizers encouraged devotees to participate via Facebook to limit congregation due to COVID-19.
