Guam- The Sheraton Laguna Resort was packed Tuesday night as 17 women competed for the title of Miss Earth Guam 2012. But in the end, SarahBorja Filush walked away with the coveted title. Filush also received awards for Best National Costume, Miss Photogenic and Best in Evening Gown. She is the successor to Miss Earth Guam 2011 Anna Calvo.
In a surprise twist to the show, a panel of judges also selected 1st runner up Catarina Martinez as Miss Earth Guam 2013. Pageant officials say she will have a whole year of training to compete in next year’s Miss Earth International. Martinez also won the “Best In Swimsuit” category.
The top 6 finalists all received titles.
