“I will push for an override only when all 10 who supported the legislation initially are present. I need to also stress that being in attendance is one of our primary responsibility,” – Senator Frank Aguon Jr.

Guam – Following Governor Eddie Calvo’s veto of Bill 4, Senator Frank Aguon Kr. is now calling on all 10 lawmakers who voted in support of the legislation for a potential override.

Bill 4, authored by Senator Frank Aguon Jr. seeks to reduce the salaries of GovGuam employees, namely the Governor, the Lt. Governor, and the legislature. The bill drew heated critique from Governor Calvo who called the bill “political grandstanding.”

In response, Senator Aguon told PNC today “I do hope that the 10 that supported Bill 4 will be present for a possible override, I will push for an override only when all 10 who supported the legislation initially are present. I need to also stress that being in attendance is one of our primary responsibility.”

Meanwhile, session is tentatively scheduled for April 24th through the 28th.
