Guam – The U.S. Senate has confirmed Frank Leon Guerrero as the United States Marshal for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.
In March of this year, President Barack Obama transmitted his nomination Leon Guerrero as U.S. Marshal to the U.S. Senate.
In a release, Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo states:
“I congratulate Frank Leon Guerrero on his confirmation as U.S. Marshal for Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. President Barack Obama nominated Frank based on his qualifications and experience as a law enforcement officer and today the Senate has affirmed their trust in his abilities. I have worked with Frank for many years and look forward to working with him as U.S. Marshal. I am confident that he will serve in his new position with distinction and honor.”
The release, also quotes U.S. Marshal Leon Guerrero as saying:
“I am very appreciative of Congresswoman Bordallo, as well as other local officials, who have recognized my career in law enforcement and my commitment to serve our people. I look forward to this new opportunity to serve the people of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands and will do so to the best of my abilities.”
