The Committee on Health has until August to make changes to the rules and regulations or else they will lapse into law.
Guam – Senator Tina Muna-Barnes has submitted her recommendations and amendments to the final rules and regulations for Guam’s medical marijuana. In a press release, the co-sponsor of the program Senator Barnes says, “The recommendations submitted to the Committee on Health reflect our ability to best address the needs of the patients.” Barnes was appointed to a subcommittee tasked with setting up public hearings for the final draft rules and regulations of Guam’s medical marijuana program. Barnes acknowledged the many concerns brought up in the four hearings which include high permitting costs and the lack of patient access, safety, and privacy. Barnes says, “We realize there are many concerns that need to be addressed; however, these amendments will get this program one step closer to implementation.” The Committee on Health has until August to make changes to the rules and regulations or else they will lapse into law.
