Guam – Senator Frank Aguon Jr. has issued a statement in support of Senator Tom Ada’s call for the Port to upgrade its 2007 Master Plan.
An updated plan would be “more applicable for the pending military relocation” said the Senator in a statement adding that he has written a letter to Port Board Chairman Dan Tydingco saying “an updated Plan would provide much-needed appraisal of the Port’s present and future operational capacities.”

Senator Frank B. Aguon, Jr. yesterday expressed his support of Senator Tom Ada’s call to update the 6-year old master plan of the Jose D. Leon Guerrero Commercial Port.
In his letter to Sen. Ada, Sen. Aguon said that he agreed with the lawmaker’s recommendation to revalidate the Port’s 2007 Master Plan and make it more applicable primarily for the pending military relocation.
“An updated Plan would provide much-needed appraisal of the Port’s present and future operational capacities. Such information would be important to accrue, given that future relocation construction projects may cause a significant increase in cargo operations,” Senator Aguon said.
