Guam – Republican Frank Blas Jr. made official today [Tuesday] what he has previously announced on radio and in print. He has declared himself a candidate for the Washington delegate’s  seat currently occupied by Democrat Madeleine Bordallo.

He made the announcement at noon in the center court of the Chamorro village.

Blas said he chose the Chamorro Village as the site declare his candidacy because it is representative of the island and the culture.

He promised to be bi-partisan in his approach and to reach across the aisle to seek compromise with Democrats in the best interest of the island.

Governor Eddie Calvo was on hand and endorsed Blas’ decision to seek election as Guam’s Delegate to Congress.
