Senator Pangelinan Urges Airport to Release Retroactive Pay for GIAA Police

Guam – Senator Ben Pangelinan has issued a statement urging GIAA to release retroactive pay to the airport’s law enforcement officers.

SENATOR PANGELINAN URGES AIRPORT TO RELEASE RETROACTIVE PAY TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS

FOR IMMEDIATE NEWS RELEASE (February 4, 2014 – Hagåtña, GU) – In a letter to Airport Executive Manager Charles Ada, Senator Pangelinan urged Ada and Airport officials to release retroactive law enforcement compensation due to Airport law enforcement officers.

According to a recent news release, Airport revenues have increased by $7.3 million in FY 2013, thus making available additional resources for retroactive compensation to law enforcement officers.

“In light of the financial position of the Airport as reported in the FY 2013 audit which shows an increase in Airport revenues of $7.3 million, releasing the funds should not be a difficult task so that our Airport police officers and fire fighters may soon receive the their promised compensation.”
