Guam – The Legislature’s Health Commitee Chair is concerned with the sudden change of administration at the hospital.

Senator Dennis Rodriguez says that he respects the governor’s decision to invoke his organic act authority but does not agree with the decision.

The senator believes that the hospital needs continuity in it’s leadership and management. He says the biggest obstacles with the hospital’s improvement lie in it’s funding not it’s management. “It’s a funding issue and just as long as we can’t find the funds to put over there to for them to carry out their services then I think regardless of who we put out there it’s going to be very challenging,” said Rodriguez. The senator adds that he is also extremely concerned about the effects the management change may have with the morale of the employees at the hospital.
