Senators Discuss Bill to Use Police for FESTPAC


Lawmakers will likely head to the voting file next week.

Guam – The legislature continued discussing a number of bills during session Friday.


 Bill 197 was discussed which would extend the duties of the Guam Police Department Community Assisted Policing Effort or CAPE volunteers to include event supervision of the 12th Festival of the Pacific Arts which is going to be held on Guam in May. Bill 212 was also discussed which authorizes the Attorney General the use of funds for experts in federal litigation cases. Bill 215 was also discussed which recognizes the successful rehabilitation and treatment of individuals convicted of first offender drug cases between 1995 and 2005.
