Senators Discuss Family Medical Leave Act and Bills That Pay Animal Control Workers and Prior Year Obligations for GPD


Other bills on the agenda include a bill to raise the smoking age to 21 and a bill to outlaw so called “revenge pornography”

Guam – Lawmakers are in session and among the bills to be discussed is one from Vice-Speaker B.J. Cruz to raise the legal smoking age to 21.


Another measure from Speaker Judi Won Pat would criminalize so-called revenge pornography. There’s also a series of bills from Senator Frank Aguon Junior to pay police prior year obligations and a proposal from Senator Nerissa Underwood to allow for lawmakers to voluntarily reduce their salaries. This morning(Tues) however lawmakers discussed Senator Brant McCreadie’s bill to expand the provisions of the family medical leave act. They also discussed three of Senator Aguon’s bills which pay prior year obligations for GPD and moved those bills to the third reading file.
