Guam – The Legislature’s Majority Leader Senator Rory Respicio reports that on day 3 of the current Session lawmakers moved 3 more bill into the voting file and added an additional 4 bills onto the legislative agenda.

(Hagåtña, Guam) – Majority Leader & Committee on Rules Chairman Senator Rory J. Respicio reports that during the third day of this week’s Session, Senators of the 31st Guam Legislature added eight items to the agenda, addressed four bills, one resolution & one appointment, listed below. 

Session is now in recess and will resume on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. The public can tune in on MCV Channel 13 or GUdTV Channel 21.

Relative to requesting the United States Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius  to  prioritize  and  approve  the  Guam  Memorial  Hospital  Authorityʹs  request  for  relief  of Medicare  reimbursement  rates  under  the  Tax  Equity  and  Fiscal  Responsibility  Act  of  1982  and  to express  the  dire  and  emergent  situation  the  only  civilian  hospital  on  Guam  faces  due  to  the  large disparity in collecting reimbursements from Medicare.
