GPA Spokesperson Art Perez says that the outage affected parts of Barrigada, Mangilao, Dededo, Agat/Santa Rita, Talofofo, Tumon, Yona/Chalan Pago and Tiyan.
Guam – Wednesday night several villages were without power, some for as long as two hours.Guam Power Authority spokesperson Art Perez says that at about 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, MEC generator unit no.9 tripped offline, causing the power to go out in several villages. Perez says that all circuits were restored at 10 p.m. Wednesday. MEC stands for Marianas Energy Corporation and they are a private power company here on Guam.
