SIDELINES AND EAGLES GOLF CLUB SUSPENDS FREE MEALS PROJECT, ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY TO STOP THE SPREAD – Health & Safety of the people of Guam is top priority
(April 7, 2020 – Tamuning, Guam) Sidelines and the Eagles Golf Club announces the suspension of their free meals project, due to concerns regarding the projected rise in confirmed COVID-19 cases on Guam. The suspension begins effective immediately until further notice.
The first week of the program which began on April 1, 2020, saw the successful preparing, packaging and delivery of nearly a thousand (1,000) meals to frontline workers at GMH and quarantine sites, as well as to our Man’åmko, Veterans and the needy.
“We want to thank everyone that helped make our first delivery for this passion project a success. This truly came from the heart and our collective duty to pitch in and support those at the front line battling this pandemic and those in our community who need additional assistance like our Man’åmko and Veterans,” Sidelines Owner & Eagles Golf Club Member, John Ananich said. “While we are disappointed to be suspending this program, the health and safety of our community, and beating back COVID-19 is our top priority.”
Sidelines plans to resume the program when the situation is under control and social restrictions are eased.
Ananich added, “We encourage the people of Guam to join us in efforts to stop the spread. We have had enough and know you have too, and we need to do everything we can to make Guam safe again.
Special thanks to our partners for supporting this project: Social (Bar), CHERRY MEDIA VISION, PERMARCH GUAM INC., BIG FISH CREATIVE
