Sinajana Youth Basketball League completes U14 & U16 Semifinals

Sinajana, Guam – The 2018 Sinajana Youth Basketball League completed semifinal playoff games in the U14 and U16 divisions on Wednesday night.  The Mavericks and Barrigada Crusaders Black stamped their tickets to the U16 championship game.  The Yona Spartans and Sinajana Rockers will face off in the U14 championship.

Sinajana Youth Basketball League sponsors, Bank of Guam, IP&E Guam, and the Sinajana Mayor’s Office present semifinal playoff game results as follows:

Under 16 Semifinals

  • Mavericks 48, Barrigada Crusaders Grey 46 (OT): Blaise Ada and Tyler Concepcion paced the Mavericks with 11 points apiece in their overtime victory.  Crusaders Greys’ Dylan Trusso scored a game-high 19 points in the loss.
  • Barrigada Crusaders Black 54, Sinajana Rockers 23: Crusaders Blacks’ Jeffrey Labanza scored 13 points and teammate Thelo Orichiro scored 10 points.  Rockers’ Tahj Rasa scored 7 points and teammate Jaen Paraliza scored 6 points.

    Under 14 Semifinals

  • Yona Spartans 37, Barrigada Crusaders Red 23: Spartans’ Franklin “Spider” Ninete scored a game-high 10 points and teammate Bailee Sablan scored 9 points.  Crusaders Reds’ Stephen Stettenbenz scored 9 points.
  • Sinajana Rockers 48, Inarajan Hawks 24: Rockers’ Julian Bamba scored a game-high 14 points and teammate DJ Walker scored 13 points.  Hawks’ Joshua Meno scored 12 points in the loss.
