Guam- Sister Brigid Perez is being recognized for her contributions to the rule of law and the island community.
The Alee Shelter Program Director was honored Friday afternoon as a Law Day Hustisia award recipient at a ceremony in the Guam Supreme Court. In fact, her tireless and continued dedication to this home for battered women and children has led to improvements to the Government of Guam and the administration of justice.
Guam Bar Association President Cynthia Ecube spoke about Sister Brigid, saying she was her 2nd grade teacher and is an ideal role model for many around the island.
“She’s been a role model to many of us, myself, other students, the clients who she serves, and the employees that work under her” said Ecube. “Thank you Sister Brigid for believing in me. Thank you for believing in many of your students and thank you for believing in the victims that you serve. On behalf of the Judiciary of Guam, the Guam Bar Association, and the District Court of Guam, congratulations on this honor.”
