Sodexo Contributes $12K to UOG Capital Campaign

Guam – Sodexo presented a $12,000 check to University of Guam President Robert A. Underwood on March 14 to support the university’s capital campaign.

“We look forward to the growth and expansion at the university and are pleased to play a part in this effort,” said Joe Majka, Sodexo director of business development, Pacific region.

“I express my deep appreciation to Sodexo for contributing to the progress at the university,” said Underwood. “During our Charter Day celebration yesterday the campus was full of elementary, middle and high school students who experienced many different aspects of university life. This generous Sodexo contribution will help make our new facilities a reality so that by the time these school children become Tritons we will have a new Student Services Center, Engineering School, and Fine Arts facilities that will enhance their academic experience and help us produce the professional workforce that will help drive this island’s economic engine.”

The UOG Endowment Foundation works to foster and promote the growth, progress, and general welfare of the University of Guam. Sodexo’s contribution to the Endowment makes them a “Triton Developer,” a program that supports the UOG Physical Master Plan with donations that can be spread out over a 60-month period. Sodexo’s $12K contribution was the first of five contributions to be made over the next five years.
