Guam – “Typhoon Soudelor continues to move away from Tinian and Saipan,” the National Weather Service writes in its latest typhoon advisory (#15). As of 11 AM (CHST), Typhoon Soudelor was located at about 16.3N 143.8E, which would be about 150 miles west-northwest of Saipan and about 205 miles away from Guam. All typhoon and tropical storm related warnings on the Mariana Islands are no longer in effect as the system moved away.
Typhoon Soudelor is continuing its movement towards west-northwest at about 13 MPH with its Maximum Sustained Winds of about 120 MPH. This category 3 typhoon is expected to continue through the direction while intensifying further over the new few days.
