Sound of gunshots prompts lockdown at Okkodo High

Gun shots were heard in the area prompting a lockdown of the school.

Guam – Okkodo High School went on lockdown this morning for a possible active shooter.

Guam Police Department Spokesperson Officer AJ Balajadia confirms that the school went into lockdown after what sounded like gun shots were heard in the area.

“A check of the school was made and cleared,” said Balajadia. The lock down went into effect before 9:30 am and was lifted around 9:45 am.

Balajadia said officers were still on campus to continue to make checks of the area after the lockdown was lifted.
