Speaker opens unemployment application ‘kiosk’ in her office

In support of Executive Order No. 2020-17 and the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) module recently launched by the Guam Department of Labor, Speaker Tina Muña Barnes will be opening her office to assist the high volume of people that are applying for the program.

The COVID-19 Assistance Recovery Express (C.A.R.E.) kiosk is also open to individuals who may have difficulties with applying for other available coronavirus federal assistance programs.

The C.A.R.E. kiosk will be accessible to the public by appointment only. The kiosk will provide the public with reliable internet access, free printing, and staff members ready to help. Due to the severity of COVID-19, health and safety measures are implemented and enforced.

“The C.A.R.E. kiosk is intended to provide additional assistance to individuals who are applying or plan to apply for financial assistance due to the public health emergency. I understand the frustration of the application processes and if I can lessen the pressure to those who have been detrimentally affected by the coronavirus pandemic – I will make every effort to do so. I want our people to avail of this money as quick as possible!” said Speaker Muña Barnes.

The kiosk will be available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm by appointment only.

If you have any questions or have an interest in using the C.A.R.E. kiosk, please call the Office of the Speaker at 671-477-2520.
