Special Olympics Haggan Exhibition on Saturday

The District Court of Guam, Judiciary of Guam, and the Guam Bar Association Law
Month Committee, in partnership with Special Olympics Guam and Custom Fitness Guam,
will host their first Annual “Special Olympics Haggan Exhibition” initiative as part of
their Law Month events.

Special Olympic athletes have partnered up with judges, lawyers, marshals, probation officers, and court staff, through a blind drawing, to complete a series of simple exercises. Athletes were able to meet their partners on Saturday, May 01, 2021, at Custom Fitness Guam during a meet and greet/warm-up activity. The initiative is to continue this weekend with Exhibition Day on Saturday, May 08, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Special Olympic athletes will be picking up their exhibition uniforms at the District Court of
Guam and upon pick up, the kids are their family are welcome to a court tour. Athletes will
get to meet judges, lawyers, and court staff, and will get to visit a courtroom, chambers, and law library.

All Special Olympics athletes will be awarded a medal and a gavel pencil donated by Guam Bar Association. All Special Olympics athletes will be gifted with drink flasks donated by Attorney Anita Arriola from the Arriola Law Firm. Pre-packaged lunch bags will be prepared and donated by McDonald’s, with drinks and snacks provided throughout the competition by the Guam Bar Association.
