If you’re looking for some good laughs to start your weekend off, Canadian-Filipino comedian Ron Josol will be providing entertainment on April 21, just for you, your family and friends to enjoy.
Hosted at the Hotel Nikko Guam, Stand up Comedian Ron Josol, who has been on tour for the last four months, will be providing Guam with an hour full of laughter and jokes that will in his words make you pee your pants.
People in attendance can expect what Josol describes to be his “Filipino, North American Flavor of comedy.”
“I’m gonna drop a couple of gems, I’m going to tell them some history, I’m gonna give them a different POV that they haven’t seen before and I might even change their religion,” said Josol.
He shared with the Pacific News Center that he learned his love for comedy after watching Eddie Murphy: Delirious and now has been in the comedy business for 26 years.
“You know when people say when I met my wife it was love at first sight,” Josol said. “There’s a small percentage of people that do that and get that happening in their life. You do that in life and love or you do it in work and I found that in work. When I was eight, I already knew and by the time I tried it at 19 I was hooked, I was done. I was working full time within a year and a half.”
He shared a piece of advice for those interested in starting a career in comedy.
“They should be doing it for the right reasons and not for fame or money,” Josol said. “It should be because you love the art of stand up comedy or else you will get burnt out.”
Additionally, he expressed that one of the challenges of being a stand up comedian is adjusting based on audience.
Moreover, in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Josol will host a show on Saipan, scheduled on April 22.
