Guam – The Lady Spartans and Team Legacy officially kicked off Guam’s first ever women’s tackle football league at the Eagles field in Mangilao.
The league adopted the six player rules that made for high scoring games.
Gia Sarusal and Shawnel Castro were the speedsters on the Legacy team that accounted for a combined 7 touchdowns. Sarusal was the long range scorer while Castro helped mix things up closer to the goal.
It was a successful opening weekend and you could see in the faces of the fans and the players that this league was actually a good idea.
The Bud Light women’s tackle football league has double header games every Saturday at the Eagles field in Mangilao with the first game at 1pm and the second at 3:30.
