Guam – Still no arrests have been made in the homicide investigation of a 54-year-old Russian woman who was found dead on Sunday.

The victim was the wife of a US Navy service member, according to Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Officer Lt. Tim Gorman. The Guam Police Department is leading the investigation. The apparent murder took place at an off-base residence in Agat.

Medical Examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola ruled the death a homicide and said the victim died of a close range gun-shot wound to the head. Lt. Gorman says the husband is on island but he’s not being considered a suspect at this point.

GPD Spokesman Officer AJ Balajadia says there are still no leads in the case.
