Still No Leads in Murder Investigation of Russian Woman

Lt. Tim Gorman, public affairs officer for Joint Region Marianas says the victim’s husband is a US Navy service member.

Guam – Still no arrests have been made in the homicide investigation of a 54-year-old Russian woman who was found dead on Sunday.

The victim was the wife of a US Navy service member, according to Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Officer Lt. Tim Gorman. The Guam Police Department is leading the investigation. The apparent murder took place at an off-base residence in Agat.

Medical Examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola ruled the death a homicide and said the victim died of a close range gun-shot wound to the head. Lt. Gorman says the husband is on island but he’s not being considered a suspect at this point.

GPD Spokesman Officer AJ Balajadia says there are still no leads in the case.

  1. Why isn’t her husband being investigated? When it comes to people being killed, the spouse is usually the prime suspect.
