Student Indicted on Terroristic Conduct for Bomb Threats

A grand jury handed down a indictment on a JP Torres Alternative School.

Guam – One of the students who was arrested for making a bomb threat at JP Torres Alternative School was indicted by a Superior Court grand jury.

Roger Dean Barcenilla, 18, was indicted on charges of two counts terroristic conduct as third degree felonies with a special allegation of crimes against the community.

He is one of two adult students arrested for making written bomb threats as hoaxes.

According to police, Barcenilla wrote the bomb threat on post-it notes which were placed in both the male and female restrooms.

When school officials conducted a search, they were able to connect the post-it notes to Barcenilla.

While police say Barcenilla admitted to writing the bomb threats as a joke, he could now face up to 10 years in prison.

His next hearing is on March 2 at 8:30 am.
