The US Coast Guard Sector Guam initiated funds for the removal of the vehicle to deter any threat of pollution from the waterway.
Guam – Yesterday, the US Coast Guard was notified of a vehicle submerged in Achang Preserve.
According to a press release from the Coast Guard Sector Guam, the vehicle was initially spotted by the Guam Police Department and the Environmental Protection Agency.
The vehicle can be seen partially submerged in the water between Merizo and Inarajan. The Coast Guard initiated funds for the removal of the vehicle to deter any threat of pollution from the waterway. In addition, oil absorbent barriers were placed around the vehicle as commercial divers prepared for the removal.
The vehicle was safely extracted from the water earlier today and towed away for recycling.
