Supreme Court postpones 2020 Guam bar exam

The Supreme Court held that both the Public Auditor and the Superior Court correctly interpreted the contract in finding that GSA’s termination under Section 12.9 did not require that GSA provide Basil an opportunity to cure its defect.

In response to the growing public health concerns worldwide and in Guam, the Guam Supreme Court has postponed the July 2020 administration of the Guam bar examination due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

According to the court, it is unlikely that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic will have abated by July 2020.

The Board of Law Examiners will reschedule the examination to September 9-10, 2020. The Board will provide updates on application deadlines and other related matters as soon as practicable on the Judiciary of Guam, Board of Law Examiners website ( and through other means of public notification.
