Swimmer Who was Rescued at Tongan Resort Dies

The victim was transported to Navy Hospital.

Guam – The distressed swimmer who was brought to shore by lifeguards at the Tongan resort in Ipan has died.

 

Medical examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola co firmed that he had received the body of a drowning victim at the Tongan resort in Ipan. Dr. Espinola could not ID the victim. he says a full autopsy will be performed today. Earlier today GFD units responded to a distressed swimmer. According to GFD spokesman Kevin Reilly, lifeguards brought the victim from outside the reef to the shore. The victim was transported to Navy Hospital.
