Guam – The Adjutant General’s Cup, or TAG Cup, Softball Tournament is scheduled for this Saturday, May 17, at the Tiyan Lower Softball Field with the first pitch at 11 a.m.
The softball tourney will pit the best of the Army Guard versus the best of the Air Guard in a “Best of Three” Games competition.
Softball is one of twelve events in the 2014 TAG Cup and provides an opportunity for members of the Guam Guard and their families to participate in sports events that aim to foster camaraderie and promote positive competition among units, as well as promote continuing physical fitness that is so important to the readiness of the Guard force. It is also part of the Guam National Guard’s celebration of its 33rd anniversary of its Charter.
Other events in this year’s TAG Cup include Bowling, Fishing, Combatives, Billiards, All-Star Basketball, All-Star Volleyball, Soccer, Cooking, a Talent Show, the Annual 5K Run and the Organizational Day Competition.
