Guam – TakeCare has filed a formal protest against the RFP for the Judiciary of Guam’s Request for Health Proposal.

TakeCare said it is taking the same position on the Judiciary protest as it did on its protest against the Department of Administration RFP for the Government of Guam Group Health Insurance Program.

TakeCare said it filed the protest after it learned that Guam Regional Medical City took the position that it would “not allow any other local health plan to access NetCare’s in-network rates with GRMC.”

TakeCare said its contracted lease arrangement with NetCare is identical to that of NetCare’s other lease clients who have historically been provided access to GRMC without issue.

TakeCare added that it has attempted many times to negotiate in good faith with GRMC for a direct provider services agreement.

Arvin Lojo, TakeCare Health Plan administrator, said that until the protest is fully resolved, TakeCare members can be assured that there would be special provisions in place to ensure that healthcare coverage and benefits will remain uninterrupted.
