Talofofo banana festival continues to grow


Guam – The 9th Annual Talofofo Banana Festival begins Friday and will last all through the weekend.

Talofofo Mayor Vicente Taitague says the festival grows every year and this year there are around 50 vendors which is more than they’ve ever had before. There’s a lot of banana’s, tropical fruits, vegetables, food trucks, games, carabao rides, train rides and things for people of all ages to enjoy. But of course, the feature of the festival is locally grown banana’s and banana products.

“A lot of banana’s down here. Different kind’s of banana’s. We’ve got sabaa, we got long, williams, macau, manila you know we got more so come on down and see for yourself,” said Pleadwell.

Friday night at 6pm they are crowning the princess and queen of the Talofofo Banana Festival. The festival ends on Sunday night at 10pm.
