The school year ended abruptly for students at the island’s public and private schools. From kindergartners to high school seniors, the end was sudden and soul-less.
But many are finding ways to close out the school year in memorable style such as ongoing drive-and-go graduation ceremonies that are being planned for the island’s public high schools.
There were drive-by goodbyes that took place today at some elementary schools.
A motorcade paraded around Mangilao today and inside were students from Price Elementary school. They were dressed in their school uniforms. Horns were honked and residents waved in appreciation at the students in the cars as they passed by.
Meanwhile, in Tamuning, a drive-by farewell for the students at Tamuning elementary was held. Report cards and promotional certificates were handed out to the students in their cars and teachers were on hand to say goodbye to their students.
