Tamuning Robbery Suspects Arrested

Yesterday, the Guam Police Department arrested multiple people, who appear to have been connected in a robbery ring on island.

According to a statement from GPD – the following individuals -Kopich Chutaro … Javi Chutaro… Eddy Atty… Jano Sokin… and Chersey Yosi – were arrested after GPD responded to a robbery call at Number 1 market along Route 1 Tamuning across Alupang Beach Tower.

In an interview on NewsTalk K57 with Patti Arroyo, GPD Police Chief Stephen Ignacio reported that the aforementioned individuals are in connection to a string of robberies. Which are in connection to car robberies which, according to Chief Ignacio, have been solved and are actively being further investigated.

The 5 men, all within their 20s, have been arrested for robbery and theft among other offenses such as illegal possession of a firearm and use of a deadly weapon.

The cases are closed and forwarded to the AG’s office for prosecution.
