Guam – Filipino business tycoon Lucio Tan announced the construction of a new new mall in Tumon Thursday night during a banquet to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Tan owned Micronesian Mall.
To mark the anniversary, Tan hosted a dinner for the island’s elite at the Hilton and Governor Calvo, a number of Guam Senators and prominent island businessmen attended the event.
At the dinner, Tan un-veiled plans for a new 200O-thousand square foot mall which will be called the Tumon Bay Mall.
The new mall will be located across from the Guam Beachfront Residences on San Vitores Road. Tan told the audience that construction will begin immediately, and its should be completed by the end of next year.
