Tax refunds mailed just in time for Christmas

Guam – More good news in the season of giving, and the timing couldn’t be better, as more tax refunds are mailed out over the weekend.

Beating Santa to the punch, the big tax refund payout definitely has some island residents smiling this holiday.

The Department of Revenue and Taxation printed 314 tax refund checks totaling $1 million dollars, which the Department of Administration mailed out on Saturday. This latest round of checks covers status A, or error-free, tax returns filed up to July 6th. To date more than $1-billion dollars in tax refunds have been paid out within months of filing.
