Guam – Public Health’s Non-Communicable Disease consortium held a meeting today(Friday) to address the prevention of chronic diseases.

A team from the Centers for Disease Control and members of the World Health Organization are on Guam meeting with Guam’s Department of Public Health. Dana Shelton Deputy Director for the National Center of Chronic Disease prevention and health promotion at the CDC in Atlanta Georgia told PNC “We’re working together and sharing strategies on what’s working we’re also talking about our challenges and how we can work together to best solve those approaches.”
Shelton congratulates Guam for the steps it’s taken to ban smoking tobacco in public places.
