Teen Escapes DYA

Yesterday, detectives from the Juvenile Investigation Section and Criminal Investigation Section located 18-year-old Zivon Choffat, under the charge of felony escape.

According to the Guam Police Department,
On March 6th at around 3:16PM, Central Precinct officers responded to a reported escape at the Department of Youth Affairs.

However, on Tuesday, March 8th, detectives from the JIS conducted a follow-up with DYA, and obtained information from both the JIS and CIS to the Yigo area where Choffat was located and apprehended.

According to GPD, Choffat was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections for felony escape.

The case is closed and has been forwarded to the Attorney General for Prosecution.
