A total of 14,200 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine arrived on Thursday, March 4, and 21,060 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines arrived on Friday, March 5. Together, this completes Guam’s March allocation of 35,260 doses of the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines.
During the inspection of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines, the lights on the temperature recording device for one of the four boxes was not visible.
DPHSS’ Immunization Program has contacted federal partners to report the status and has also contacted the manufacturer for further guidance.
In the meantime, the package is being stored properly in ultra-cold temperatures using dry ice in a secure location. The remaining three packages have also been properly transferred into the ultra-low temperature (ULT) freezer.
The Moderna vaccines arrived in good condition.
