Onward Mangilao Golf Club is once again holding their 5500/2200 Yard Fun Run and new this year, a 10K challenge!
GUAM – The event which has grown in participation with each event is celebrating it’s 17th year! This is a unique opportunity to run on Guam’s premiere golf course which is usually not accessible to runners. The Guam Running Club has touted this as “The Most Spectacular Run on Guam” due to It being a beautiful yet very challenging run, you have to experience to understand. This year runners will have a choice between 3 distances: The 2200-yard run, 2K, is a short and flat run to attract youth runners and those who like a less challenging route. The runners/walkers will enjoy the view of the lush greenery, lakes, and the beautiful sunrise. The 5500-yard run, 5K, is a middle distance event. The run meanders along the best 9-holes of the golf in the Pacific including the infamous 12th Hole. The runners get to see spectacular sunrise in midst of running along beautiful lush greenery of the golf course and the natural beauty of the limestone forest and the ocean view. AND This year a 10K challenge run!! Runners will be running past all 18 holes on the golf course. However The 10K is limited 100 runners. The proceeds of the event benefit the Guam Junior Golf League which is a great non-profit organization teaching and helping the children of Guam learn the game of golf.
