5 out of 300 test positive for COVID-19 after first day of testing


After 300 people across three locations were tested Monday for COVID-19, 5 samples came back positive.

Yesterday was the first day in Public Health’s week-long push to test the public. Testing is conducted for free on a drive-through basis in Yigo, Tiyan and Agat.

A more detailed breakdown of yesterday’s testing yielded the following results:

Tiyan field: 128, 3 positive
Yigo Gym: 127, 1 positive
Agat Senior Center: 45, 1 positive

Testing is conducted daily from 9 a.m. to noon every day this week, except for Saturday. Testing on Saturday will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Testing will be limited to 200 people per day through Friday and on Saturday, testing will be limited to 300 people.

No symptoms are necessary to get swabbed.
