Guam – The Guam Department of Public Works has released the following list of traffic construction trouble spots for the week ahead.
Route 1 in Yigo
Travel lanes will continue to be restricted to one lane in each direction on Marine Corps Drive at the Wusstig Road Intersection.  Motorists should anticipate delays and increased travel time on this section of Route 1.  These lane restrictions and delays are anticipated to continue for several more weeks.

Work continues on the new traffic signal at the intersection of Chalan Lujuna.  This work will be outside of the travel lanes and no delays to traffic are anticipated.

Route 25 Alageta Road
Motorists are advised that Alageta Road is closed to all but local traffic from Uhang Street and Chalan Galak Street.  Residents are allowed to use Alageta Road to get to and from their houses but through traffic must use the detours on Kalamasa Street and Ahau Street.  Motorists continue to be advised to follow the detour signs and to reduce their speeds on the local streets.

Route 4 from McDonalds to Route 10
Travel lanes continue to be restricted to one lane in each direction on Route 4 at the Tutujan (Sinajana) intersection.  Motorists are advised to merge into one lane well in advance of the lane closures.   Motorists using this portion of Route 4 to commute to school or work should anticipate increased travel times and short delays while this intersection is being reconstructed.  This construction work is anticipated to be completed by September.

Route 8/10/16 (Tri-Intersection)
Lanes of traffic at the Tri-intersection will continue to be restricted to one lane in each direction on Routes 8,16 and 10.  Motorists that travel to and from Mangilao, Hagatna and Harmon will experience delays when traveling through this intersection.  Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes and consider car-pooling to reduce congestion and delays.

Route 16 (Barrigada Post Office Intersection)
Construction work is ongoing on Route 16 at the Barrigada Post Office.  Traffic lanes heading toward the Tri-Intersection and Harmon are shifted to the right for the construction work in the median.  Motorists are requested to reduce their speeds and follow the construction signs when traveling through the construction area.
