Guam – Therese Terlaje, Attorney for the Guam legislature has become the 149candidate to pick up a packet to run for office.

Terlaje will be making a run for senator in the 34th Guam legislature. Terlaje has been practicing law for 27 years including 20 years as the legal counsel for the legislature. She received her bachelor’s degree from Creighton University and her law degree from UCLA. Some of Terlaje’s notable accomplishments include representing the Guam legislature in the original earned income tax credit case brought before the supreme court of Guam to compel Gov Guam to implement the EITC program and pay out earned income refunds. She also represented the legislature in the landmark Chamorro Land Trust Act Case, which allowed for land ownership for thousands of families on Guam.
