Guam – On Tuesday Guam Community College officials discovered that their welding shop had been robbed.
There is no evidence of a break in or forced entry on the outside of the building. On the inside however the thieves had to cut through a padlocked gate to access the stolen items. GCC acting president Carmen Santos says that welding equipment included a plasma cutter, welding guns and tanks. the estimated cost of the stolen items is between $15 to $20 thousand dollars. Santos says that this will not affect their welding classes. “Right now we can still conduct classes classes are still going on not all of the equipment was stolen so fortunately for us the classes can still be held,” said Santos. Santos is asking that anyone with any information about this theft contact the Guam Police Department.
