Three teenage boys accused of stealing from GCC confined at DYA

Detectives assigned to the Guam Police Department’s Curfew Task Force took three boys into custody on allegations that they broke into Guam Community College and stole various items from the school.

GCC has been broken into on several occasions between January and May of this year.

According to a news release from GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao a separate investigation into several vehicles burglaries in Mangilao turned up information linking the GCC burglaries to “to several individuals responsible for …(the)… burglary complaints filed by the Guam Community College.”

AS a result Sgt Tapao reports that a 15-year-old boy and two other 17 year-old boys were arrested and charged with the following offenses:

-Burglary
-Theft of Property
-Criminal Trespass
-Crimes Against the Community
-Curfew
-Beyond Control

The boys are now confined at the Department of Youth Affairs.

The case against them has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.

Detectives assigned to the Guam Police Department’s Curfew Task Force took three (3) male minors into custody for burglary and theft complaints at the Guam Community College.

Preliminary police reports suggest that detectives assigned to the Curfew Task Force, conducted a follow-up investigation of several burglaries to vehicles complaint within the Mangilao area. Through the course of the follow-up investigation, detectives learned of several individuals responsible for several theft and burglary complaints filed by the Guam Community College between January and May of 2020.

The follow-up investigation led to the apprehension of a 15-year-old male and two (2) 17-year-old male minors who were all charged for the following offenses:

-Burglary
-Theft of Property
-Criminal Trespass
-Crimes Against the Community
-Curfew
-Beyond Control

All male minors were later confined at the Department of Youth Affairs. This case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
