Home invasion suspect caught in the act while officers were searching nearby home

Guam – Authorities were in the process of executing a search warrant at a Sinajana residence when noises alerted them to another crime in progress.

Joelynn Marie Reyes and Juan Taimanao King are the latest individuals detained by the Guam Police Department Drug Task Force and SWAT for their alleged drug activity.

According to GPD Spokesperson AJ Balajadia, on Monday, a search warrant was executed at their Sinajana home on Chalan GUma Yu’us which is located in a Drug free school zone.

Police say that the search yielded the discovery of drug paraphernalia which was tested and yielded a presumptively positive result for a scheduled two controlled substance.

Both were arrested for illegal possession of a scheduled two controlled substance. Reyes was additionally charged with Illegal possession of a scheduled two controlled substance with intent to deliver and Drug free school zone.

In related news, during the execution of the warrant a man identified as Joseph Anthony Mesa was detained after being seen coming down a flight of stairs leading to a separate unit. Balajadia states that officers learned from home owners that when SWAT was making their approach, they heard dogs barking from the rear side of the dwelling. Further stating that sounds of someone attempting to gain access through a security door were heard. Mesa was arrested for home invasion and illegal possession of a scheduled two controlled substance.

All three individuals were booked and confined.
